NHS & Private Prescription
We undertake dispensing of both NHS & Private prescriptions. We have a fully computerised patient medication records system, which stores all your medication records and alerts the pharmacist to possible drug interactions. Naturally, information held about patients is confidential and covered by the Data Protection Act. In the unlikely event that we do not have a particular drug in stock, usually we will obtain it for you the same day.
MEDICINES WASTE MANAGEMENT
We accept back unwanted medicines from all patients. Arrangements are made with the SCRL to collect the medicines at regular intervals. Additionally we segregate appropriate items under the Hazardous Waste Regulations.
ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTION SERVICE
We are able to receive your prescription details electronically straight from your doctors. This is a fast and more accurate way for us to produce your prescription. You will need to nominate us via your surgery as your chosen pharmacy for us to obtain your prescription electronically.
FLU VACCINATIONS
Flu vaccinations are available at Heath Pharmacy between September and February. Book an appointment online to see one of our pharmacists in-store.
STOP SMOKING SERVICE
Studies have shown you are 4 times more likely to quit with help from a health professional. Our Stop smoking advisers offer free one-to-one support along with stop smoking medicines, which are available for the cost of a prescription or free if your prescription exempt.
